About
Introduction
Xagħra (Ix-Xagħra) is one of Gozo’s most historic landscapes—home to the UNESCO Ġgantija Temples, a lively village square anchored by the Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady, and a cluster of underground caves.
Location
Xagħra
Xagħra was established as a parish on 28 April 1688. A medieval chapel dedicated to St Anthony Abbot served as the early parish seat.
