A Second World War memorial plaque mounted on the exterior of the Parish Church of St Cajetan in Ħamrun, Malta. The memorial commemorates Ħamrun residents who died through enemy action during the Second World War, 1939–1945.
Unlike the freestanding civic memorials found elsewhere in Malta, this memorial is incorporated into the church setting. The marble plaque is positioned on the exterior of the Parish Church of St Cajetan, one of the principal historic churches of Ħamrun.
The plaque was unveiled on 6 May 1995, fifty years after the end of the Second World War. The inscription records the role of the Ħamrun Local Council and its then mayor, Peter Attard, in creating the memorial.

Historical Context
Ħamrun was a densely populated urban locality close to the central harbour and industrial areas of Malta. During the Second World War, the town and its surrounding districts were exposed to the effects of the bombing campaign against Malta.
Local remembrance continued after the war, and the 1995 memorial provides a permanent record of Ħamrun's civilian wartime losses. Its location is particularly significant: rather than standing alone in a square or garden, the plaque forms part of the architectural setting of the Parish Church of St Cajetan.
