Royal Navy Submarine Museum — Gosport, England
The Memorial
The Resurgam Memorial ("I shall rise again") stands within the grounds of the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport, Hampshire. It pays permanent tribute to the submarines and crews of the Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy, and Commonwealth forces lost in service between 1904 and 1955.
This record holds special significance for Maltese maritime history, as it lists numerous submarines belonging to the famous 10th Submarine Flotilla based at Manoel Island (HMS Talbot) in Malta during the height of the Mediterranean campaign in World War II.
