Introduction & Location

The locality of Ħaż-Żabbar holds a deep legacy of resilience and shared sacrifice, particularly evident during the intense aerial conflicts of the Second World War. Standing prominently at Misraħ tal-Madonna Medjatriċi, the Żabbar War Memorial serves as a solemn tribute to local residents and service personnel who lost their lives as a direct result of these hostile campaigns. The monument features a stone obelisk towering over expressive bronze sculptures that depict the grief, resolve, and enduring protective spirit of the Maltese population during times of conflict.

Engraved permanently on the distinct faces of the obelisk are the names of the region's casualties. Below are the fully transcribed lists separated into individual panels, formatted symmetrically to match our local heritage registry layouts.
