Sannat’s history dates back to medieval times, becoming a parish in 1688. Traditionally agricultural, it developed around devotion to Saint Margaret. Over centuries, it preserved its rural character, historic chapels, and strong community traditions rooted in Gozo’s ecclesiastical heritage.
